Spectrum provides services at many of Maine's hospitals throughout the state and in eastern New Hampshire.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides preventative and rehabilitative services that maximize functionality and promote well-beingReview patients' medical history and any referrals or notes from doctors or surgeonsIdentify and meet patient's goals and needsDiagnose patients' dysfunctional movements by observing them stand or walk and by listening to their concerns, among other methodsCommunicate and coordinate with patients' physicians to ensure a consistent level of careDevises individualized treatment and care plans for each of the patients, outlining the patient's goals and the expected outcome of the plan using a variety of treatment techniquesUse exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain, help them increase their mobility, prevent further pain or injury, and facilitate health and wellnessMotivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimallyPromote clients' healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordinationExercise independent judgment based on experience to implement effective treatment combinationsEvaluate a patient's progress, modifying a plan of care and trying new treatments as neededEducate patients and their families about what to expect from and how best to cope with the recovery processPerform accurate and timely documentationPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESOffer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients' motion and mobilityReduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgeryProvide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventionsConsult and practice with other health professionalsKeeps abreast of current issues involving patient care or practice issues by attending and participating in department, team and practice meetingsResponsible for ongoing personal and professional growth and development and maintaining licensureAdheres to organizational policies, protocols, regulationsDemonstrate professionalism at all timesDisplays cooperative behavior and interacts positively and effectively with others to promote a team environmentPerforms other duties necessary to maintain the overall efficiency and continuity of the deptIs proactive in identifying, reporting and participating in the resolution of any potential or actual patient safety issuesSupport the Company's Vision and ValuesPerforms other duties necessary to maintain the overall efficiency and continuity of the deptQUALIFICATIONSGraduate of an accredited school with a degree as a Physical Therapist.
Current Maine State Physical Therapy licenseCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
ACLS certification is desiredPrior experience as a PT, preferably in outpatient orthopaedics.
Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant area of practice.
Thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, with particular knowledge of the musculoskeletal system.
Current knowledge of medications and their effects on the human body.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
